Mastery is the Key to Success
According to Maxwell Gladwell, to achieve mastery a person must have 10,000 hours on a single. Watching the Winter Olympics brought this to the top of my mind. Just reaching the point to have the next level confidence to achieve greatness has to be part of the recipe. Repetition is the mother of mastery. Each time locks the idea, concept, skill into your brain.
As I watched Nathan Chen ice skate, I tried to calculate all the time he practiced being able to have must muscle memory. And more important the confidence to know he can do it flawlessly.
Then I wondered how much other experts have put into their craft. Marie Forleo, Gabby Bernstein, and of course Oprah spent writing books, interviewing people each day, videos, podcasting, and all the other stuff required for greatness. The hours each put into their craft is amazing.
Then going even deeper I realized I have put in at least 10,000 hours studying all I can on number behavior, personal development, NLP, and transformative change. In 1991 when I found Tony Robbins Book Awaken the Giant Within at a random Target store I was lost. After reading this book within 5 years I went from being a nurse’s assistant to CEO of a nonprofit. I read everything I could to change my life. Then I made it my mission to teach everyone and anyone how to Next Level their Confidence, Find their Blue Rose and Live their best life ever.
