It’s the 60’s all over again
Its the 60’s all over!
Over the past 18 months we have seen more change, more protest then we have since the early 1970’s That is amazing. So much dispuption in the marketplace and within people as well. It started with the elections, then moved to #METOO and now to #WECALLBS. Of course in the 60’s there we not hash tags. Who knows what the next point of emphasis will be just know the protest, but I’m guessing the upheaval is far from over. What do do you think?

Self Awareness and Leadership…
Self Awareness is one of the most important parts of leadership.
As a leader you must know who you are at your core. The WHY and HOW you make decisions. Not everyone will agree with your vision, your direction, how you ‘show up’ but if you understand you those comments will roll off of you.
Leaders will a strong North Star will accomplish the most because they trust their own thinking and self-talk. And that my friend is one of the best qualities a leader can have.
Some who is always checking with others to make sure they agree. Or, when critcized they ‘rethink’ what they are doing will struggle as a leader. I know because I was like that in the very beginning. When people questioned my leadership or how I decided something I would change course.
That trait served no one least of all the company I was leading. to change I needed to go deep within and heal the need for approval or the need to ‘get along’ otherwise harm could come my way. Once I realized I was in change of me and my thinking I was finally able to grow into the leader I am today.
