Vulnerability, I have always had a fear of vulnerability. Coming from a chaotic childhood where the strong preyed upon the weak I learned never to show a weakness.

Weakness or Vulnerability caused pain and I truly wanted to avoid that part. But over the years it has manifested into me almost shutting down certain emotions. An odd example is I refuse to really show sickness or pain. If I’m sick I will totally fight through it. If I hurt I will not go to the Doctors figuring I am tough and can take it.

Truly not the most healthiest attitude for sure. It has taken until my late 50’s to understand I am no longer that little girl that can be hurt emotionally and physically. I am a ‘grown ass women’ who can, when forced to, inflict equal amounts of pain. Of course, I don’t and would never consider it. My point? I’m not a 6 years old girl anymore and to become the person I am here to be I must stand in my own personal power.
