I love how the Universe works. I bought a dress for a conference beginning on Monday however the dress needed altered. I have used the same tailor for years and know he closes promptly at 5 pm. I have to be at work early tomorrow and won’t be back home until after 6pm. So the soonest I could get the dress to him is Saturday and I know then it would never be ready by Monday morning.

The clothing store is 25 min from the tailor and I left the store at 5:10pm. The whole time I was driving I kept saying over and over, ‘the tailor is open and will willingly welcome me.” I pulled up at 5:35 pm and his door was wide open. I was shocked but jumped out of my car with the dress and ran, yes ran to his door. As I drew closer I saw him locking the front door as he turned we made eye contact and I muttered, ‘oh you’re closed.  Ok I’ll stop by tomorrow.”  He smiled turned around, unlocked the door, waved me in and pointed to the dressing room.

I wanted to be respectful of both his time and generosity so I told him if he shorten the dress by 1 inch I was sure that would be enough.  He said he was extremely busy and it couldn’t be ready until Tuesday. But I had to have it by Monday morning.  I told him I would to pay double the price  if  there was any way I could have it by Monday.  After not saying anything for what seemed like forever I said, again, please.  He smiled, told me there was no need to pay double I was a good customer,  and said be back Saturday at 4pm.

Walking out I gave thanks over and over to the Universe.  Thank you Universe!
