Do you know what your Spirit Animal is? Do you know you even have a Spirit animal? We all have a spirit animal that protects and guides us through our life path. These animals encourage us to call on them when it is a time of need of guidance. Spirit Animals carry meaning, wisdom, and power. Finding out what your spirit animal or totem means is like a going on a journey. Meanings will be revealed as you deepen your personal connection with it.

There are 3 ways to find your spirit animal. Lets go in order of less reliable first.

1) Take an online test:
There are many websites that offers a test to help determine your Spirit Animal. They use a variety of questions then run it through their algorithm to select your ‘perfect’ Spirit Animal. Now as methods go this is not so bad, not very accurate but at least you can start down your spiritual journey path.

2) Watch for recurring signs in the Universe:
These signs can come in a dream, looking at the shape of a cloud, or you keep seeing the same animal pictures in a magazine, on Facebook, or just a feeling you have. You are becoming spiritually attuned so the Universe will send signs in the shape of your Spirit Animal. For example, you may see a deer everywhere you look, or a raccoon, it can be anything at all. If you pay attention the signs will be everywhere. TRUST what you see and you may find your Spirit animal.

3) Have a Shaman pull your animal:
This is the most reliable of methods. Shamans’ have been specially trained to ‘pull’ spirit animals and help to interpret the meaning of your Spirit Animal. One reason this is the preferred method is that people who take an online test or watch for signs may not like the animal they ‘get’. They will disregard the signs and move on. A Shaman will help see why that animal ‘selected’ you at this moment in time. For example, I pulled a Spirit Animal and it was a Bat. No problem. Well the person freaked out thinking it was a dark and bad sign because they only came out at night. She linked bat with a Vampire Bat almost immediately. I was able to help ‘talk her off the ledge’ and provide the positives with her Spirit Animal. Then she relaxed when she learned its name. Yep, most Spirit Animals have a name not all but most. Some will tell you right away and others will tell you in their time. Once she discovered the meaning and name she quickly embraced her Spirit Animal. She purchased a bat to keep in her office, cards, anything she could find to protect her and guide her. Never judge your Spirit Animal until you learn about them.
